1/2 c Cornmeal 6 md Green tomatoes; cut into
1/4 ts Sugar -1/4-inch slices
1/2 ts Salt 1/2 c (approx) vegetable oil
1/8 ts Pepper
Combine cornmeal, sugar, salt, and pepper; stir well. Dredge
tomatoes in cornmeal mixture.
Heat oil in a large skillet to 375 degrees F.; add tomatoes and fry
until golden brown on each side. Drain on paper towels.
