6 Slices of French bread
- baquette, 1/2 inch thick,
- cut diagonally
1 Garlic clove, flattened
Freshly ground pepper
6 Thin slices Italian dry
- salami
6 Slices provolone cheese
- smoked or regular
Dried oregano
6 Italian parsley leaves (opt)
Preheat broiler. Broil one side of bread slices until toasted. Brush
second side of each with oil, rub lightly with garlic, then sprinkle
with pepper. Broil second side until toasted. Top with salami and
cheese, folding cheese under to fit. Sprinkle with oregano. Broil
until cheese melts. Top with parsley. Serve immediatly.
