Main Ingredients:
1 tsp. powdered alum
1 c. flour
Cold water
1 qt. boiling water
1 tsp. oil of cloves
Cooking Preparation of the Recipe:
Mix powdered alum with 1 cup flour; add cold water to make a paste. Stir to remove lumps; add paste to 1 quart boiling water stirring constantly. Allow mixture to boil a few minutes. Before it cools, add a teaspoon of oil of cloves.
