3/4 c Shortening 1 1/4 c All-purpose flour
3/4 c Granulated sugar 1 ts Baking soda
1/2 c Honey 1/2 ts Salt
1 Egg 2 c Oatmeal, quick cooking
1/2 ts Grated orange peel 1 c Seedless raisins
Cream together shortening, sugar, honey, egg and peel. Stir in flour,
soda, salt and oats; beat well. Add raisins. Drop by tablespoonfuls
onto greased baking sheets. Bake abouve oven center at 375 degrees
for 8 to 10 minutes or until evenly browned. Let stand on sheets 2 to
3 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool. Makes about 36 cookies.
