1 1/2 c California dried figs 1 c Water
-- (coarsely chopped) 2 tb Honey
--------------------BREAKFAST BAR RECIPE-------------------------
4 1/2 c Flour 1/2 c Butter or margarine
3 ts Baking powder -- softened
3 c Brown sugar 1 1/2 c Fig puree'
4 1/2 c Oats 8 oz Raspberry jam
FIG PUREE: Combine figs, water and honey in a saucepan; bring to a
boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes or until softened.
Using knife blade in food processor bowl; add fig mixture. Process
10 seconds or until smooth.
Preheat oven to 250 F. Mix all ingredients except jam. Form into
"crumbs". Press half of mixture into pan sprayed with PAM. Spred
jam on crumb crust. Form top layer with remaining mixture. Bake
50-60 minutes.
