Cooking Preparation of the Recipe:
3 c White Sugar 1 tb Butter
1 c White Corn Syrup 1 ts Salt
1/2 c Water 2 ts Soda
3 c Raw Peanuts
Boil sugar, corn syrup, and water until thread spins (234 F). Add
peanuts, stir continuously after peanuts are added. Cook until
mixture turns brownish gold. Take from heat, add butter, salt, and
soda. Pour onto buttered board. Cool and break into pieces. Makes 2
1/2 lbs.
