Cooking Preparation of the Recipe:

1 3/4 c Sugar 3 c Unbleached flour
1 1/4 c Vegetable oil 2 tb Lemon juice
4 Eggs; beaten 1 ts Baking soda
2 pk (10 oz) frozen strawberries 1 ts Salt
-----or----- 2 ts Cinnamon
2 c Fresh sliced strawberries 1/2 ts Ginger
-- undrained 1 c Chopped nuts

Mix sugar, oil and eggs together. Add strawberries and lemon juice.
In separate bowl, sift together flour, soda, salt and spices.
Gradually stir dry ingredients into strawberry mixture. Mix
thoroughly. Add nuts. Pour batter into two greased loaf pans. Bake
in 350 F oven for one hour.
