Cooking Preparation of the Recipe:

2 c Flour 1 Egg
1 c Toasted wheat germ 1 ts Grated orange rind
3/4 c Shortening 1 ts Vanilla
1/2 c Sugar 1/2 ts Salt

Combine all ingredients in mixing bowl.Mix at low speed until well
mixed. Chill dough. Roll into 1-inch balls. Roll in wheat germ. Place
on cookie sheet and bake at 350 F. for 12 to 15 minutes.

Each 2 cookie serving exchange of 1 bread and 1 fat.

Calories per 2 cookie serving = 109, cho 12, pro 2, fat 6. Each 2
cookie serving has approximately 3/4 teaspoon of sugar equal to 13
calories of sugar.
