Cooking Preparation of the Recipe:

1 1/2 lb Ground beef 3/4 ts Salt
1/2 c Fine, dry breadcrumbs; 1 c (4 oz) sharp Cheddar cheese;
-divided -shredded
1 ea Egg; beaten 1/4 c Green pepper; chopped
2 tb Commercial barbecue sauce 2 tb ;water

Combine beef, 1/4 cup breadcrumbs, egg, barbecue sauce, and salt,
mixing well; shape into a 14" x 8" rectangle on a sheet of waxed
paper. Combine remaining 1/4 cup breadcrumbs, cheese, green pepper,
and water, mixing well; press gently into meat mixture, leaving a
1/2" margin around edges.
Beginning at short end, roll up meat jellyroll fashion, lifting
waxed paper to help in rolling. Press edges and ends together to
seal. Cover and chill 1 hour.
Cut roll into 6 slices. Arrange slices on rack of a lightly
greased broiler pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes or until
desired degree of doneness. Yield: 6 servings.
