2 md Squash, acorn 3 md Apples, cooking; cut in 1/2"
1 1/2 lb Ham; sliced 1/2" thick -slices
1/3 c Sugar, brown; firmly packed 1/4 ts Nutmeg, ground
2 tb Mustard, dry 2 tb Butter (or marg.)
2 ts Water 2 c Apple cider
Wash squash; cut into 1/4" slices, and remove seeds. Place slices in
a 2-1/2 quart casserole and arrange ham slices on top.
Combine sugar, mustard, and water; spread over ham.
Arrange apples over ham; sprinkle with nutmeg, and dot with butter.
Pour cider over casserole. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 1-1/2
hours, basting often.
