Cooking Preparation of the Recipe:
3/4 c Shortening 1 3/4 c Flour
1/2 c Sugar 1/4 c Brown sugar
1/2 ts Baking powder 1/2 ts Salt
1 Egg 1/2 c Almonds, chopped (opt)
2 ts Vanilla 42 Chocolate kisses(hersheys)
1/2 ts Almond extract
Cream shortening,and sugars until fluffy. Add eggs, extracts and beat
well. Add flour, baking powder, salt,and nuts. Mix well. From dough
into 1 inch balls. Press each ball around a kiss so kiss is
completely enclosed. Bake on UNGREASED cookie sheet 12 minutes. DO
NOT OVERBAKE!!!!! Cool on rack. Makes 3 1/2-4 dozen.
