Main Ingredients:
1 1/3 c Flour
1/2 ts Salt
1/2 ts Baking soda
1/4 c Melted shortening
1 c Sour milk
1 ts Sugar
2 Eggs
Cooking Preparation of the Recipe:
Sift flour, measure, and sift with salt and baking soda. Beat egg yolks until light and foamy. Add sugar and shortening. Mix well. Add milk alternately with sifted dry ingredients to egg mixture. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake in hot waffle iron.
